Obviously a very important part in the system 😂 Who would have thought? In any case. If you have oil consumption problems like me, try replacing this cheap part! Don't forget to get a new hose too! I've had oil consumption issues after a complete engine gasket change and a few, but oil was still wasting 500 miles! Some research later led me to the pcv system. So I originally intended to just install a trap between the PCV valve and the intake, but decided to replace that valve while I was there. Always a good idea! So far (1000 miles later) I still have oil up to the tip of the dipstick! Viola! Oil problem solved! The old one I took out was badly clogged 🤢 (video above). I'm pretty sure it will stay open. I highly recommend you start here if this part is right for your application. Even if this part isn't right for your application, but you're still having oil consumption issues on another car (and no visible leaks), find the right part for your car and replace it! It was a real Subaru, by the way. part, so no problem. Worked as expected in a typical Subaru dealer parts package. ATTACH THREAD BAND BEFORE INSTALLATION!
