Exchange instead of cleaning.

PCV valves need cleaning every few thousand miles. This part was cheap enough to replace with a new factory part instead of cleaning. Easy work.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Long

WARNING! in PVC Valves, breathers and accessories

Attention! Not suitable for 2002 Subaru Outback. Revan says yes. But it doesn't fit! It's a great PCV valve, but it's not a replacement for the 2002 Subaru Outback.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • thin

Good price and quality

Installed it and the oil pressure switch in fifteen minutes. This part stopped the car from swaying and prevented the oil pressure sensor from failing again. Very satisfied with the fast delivery and the quality product.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Good but not great

Does not fit Baja 2003

*Update* The Baja has two PCV valves, one of which is non-valve. This is a straight fitting that looks like a PCV valve. The actual PCV valve is at the other end of the hose that connects to this fitting. Delivered quickly, looks good but the description is wrong. Suitable for Subaru Baja 2003.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Wrong part for 2008 non-turbo Impreza

This may not be a seller problem but Revain reported that it was the correct solution for a 2008 non-turbo Impreza. I believe this part is for the turbo model. Correct part for naturally aspirated engines: Subaru part number 11810AA100. Also, if you are looking to replace the PCV valve I would recommend buying a new vacuum hose (99071AD250) as it is quite narrow and if old will likely break.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

Tight fit/hard retrieve, simple concept

This was a PITA to get out of a 1.5m outback, I probably still used the original for the long miles. Easy access, simple concept, but removing the PCV valve requires no pry bar + extension and no special connector! Also, good luck having the wrench on your side; the fitting into which it is screwed rotates. Regardless, this OEM replacement was good and highly recommended as aftermarket options have a different neck size and can cause your hose to slip. You can find them on the bay for less than

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Not everything fits

2 PVC valves listed but only one is correct

This valve fits and works perfectly in my 2003 Impreza Outback Sport. There is some confusion about PVC parts for 2002-2006 non-turbo Subaru as two valves are listed as correct but only one can be used. Part 11810AA040 is a valve that bolts into the engine block with a hose connection (Subaru part 99071AB73B) and then goes to the other end on the intake manifold. To find out if your Subaru 118AA040 is PVC, remove the top hose connection and see if you can insert a toothpick (or similar small…

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Hard to tell

2005 Subaru Forester XS

Obviously a very important part in the system πŸ˜‚ Who would have thought? In any case. If you have oil consumption problems like me, try replacing this cheap part! Don't forget to get a new hose too! I've had oil consumption issues after a complete engine gasket change and a few, but oil was still wasting 500 miles! Some research later led me to the pcv system. So I originally intended to just install a trap between the PCV valve and the intake, but decided to replace that valve while I was…

Pros
  • Holding my fists
Cons
  • Useless functions
