Review on πŸ” EEEEE UNO R3 Logic Probe & UNO R3: ATMEGA328P ATMEGA16U2 Digital Logic Tester | Arduino IDE Compatible by Joe Roberts

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Super kit, very useful starter kit.

I ordered two of these for my grandchildren. Both kits were complete, as were USB cables. The probe is fully assembled except for the plastic housing. Very easy to assemble, the parts fit perfectly. In case you are wondering, the probe is not microprocessor based, it uses an LM339 as a comparator. This works very well. UNO on both of my comes with Blink Sketch pre-installed and works great. I know it's a trifle, but being able to power on an unknown UNO that was just received and run Blink Sketch right away confirms that this is a working board. If you've worked with Arduino for a very long time, you already know what it's like to get a bad board. These are very clean boards and a fully functional processor. This is a very good entry-level plus UNO probe that is well worth the price. I use sensors with advanced features on my test bench very often, but for basic testing this sensor is the perfect tool. One very important thing to note is that the ATMEGA328P is plugged into a jack, not soldered, it can be removed. If you're wondering why this is so important, then you haven't been doing these things long enough. One day you will know why. Better get one of them ASAP before they're gone. No I wasn't paid to review it, it's a very handy set and people need to check it out. HAPPY HACKING, BUILD SOMETHING.
