Edit to edit: Cat loves it now, about a month later. This is his second favorite place to sleep after the linen closet. He spends two to three hours a day there, released, sleeping his best life in his cat cave. He'll even play with it and roll it around like a cat-sized hamster ball. He also plays with a toy covered in sisal. He seems to enjoy it because he can dig into his claws to hold him while kicking him like a rabbit. It's taken on a kind of sculptural roughness, like weathered stone, and it looks pretty cool, so I'll leave it alone. So.lazy.ETA: On the first night, the cat went in there to devour all the treats. This morning on the 3rd day of the cat cave in the house I heard some fuss and it was he who climbed in and lay down. He has been dozing there for half an hour and looks very well. First review: As a decorative object in my apartment, this cat cave is very cute. It comes folded so it doesn't look as neat as the picture but I can steam it later to smooth out the creases. It's a nice, thick felt wool, about 1/4 inch thick, and is in the shape of a flattened spheroid. She is very well done. Unfortunately it is a cat cave and my cat is a member of its species. He's filled with catnip and cat treats, and he's standing across the room looking at him. He doesn't touch the box, but it's about the size of a smaller cat, and he's still not the cat in the box. He also refused a cat toy, if my cat climbed in there, it would fit in very well at 12 pounds. I measured it 17 inches around but maybe mine isn't as squashed as the picture shows. I hope it warms up over time. It was six months before he started using his existing cat bed. Honestly, one of the best things about this product is the disclaimer that it comes with. This company is clearly either owned or operated by a lawyer as the disclaimer is 3/4 of a piece of paper filled with a mouse print stating that the company is not responsible for misuse and abuse of the product is due to its structural instability and the fact that it can cause fractures and brain injuries. It's hysterical and I can handle it.
