You will need a little. Specifically the threaded bolts that go into the metal case of the motor. Torx screws (both original and supplied) are not required. It is not recommended to fit a new carry handle. It will break again. As others have pointed out, the design of the Dewalt handle on this saw is poor. Only 4 wires. I can't go wrong with the wiring. However, removing the old cable connectors and installing the new connectors that come with the kit is a hassle.
