I have two huskies who like to put their paws on my center console. After pulling out the "dents" of the claws on the skin, I found this console cover and decided it was worth a try for the price. I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee so the center console is a bit larger than most. I was able to install the console cover easily when I opened the console's top hatch and slid it over it instead of the entire console bay. This did not affect the functionality of the upper compartment at all. The length was a little short (about 3 inches) but I just pulled it up so most of the coverage was in the armrest area. When dogs step on it (I know they're crazy) it definitely protects my skin! This case also looks very nice. I have the black one to match my leather interior. It's not at all obvious that the console has a lid unless you look at it. My husband drove the car for two weeks before I told him it was there. He never paid attention and never noticed! Overall this was a great purchase and I highly recommend it!
