Works as advertised

Works well. The instructions could have been better, they were obviously automatically translated from a non-English language. Be very careful with this item, the blades are very sharp. The blades have a "park" position, making the slicer safe to use, but it's up to you to turn it on after each use. This product is amazingly well designed and built. Made in China but looks and feels like a German product.
