REVIEW: Monroe Boot Set 63628 Strut-Mate

is used in combination with Monroe 71107 Shockson 2000 Infiniti G20 front wheels. That is hard. and I don't like tricks - at least without good instructions.1. I had to downsize the bumper. (had actually found that using a copy saw works quite well, a razor blade is impractical)2. I had to figure out how the steel ring that comes with the dampers mates with the bumper. - It was necessary to find a page up and a page down. (On my setup, only one side "shrinks" with the ring in the bumper. - Turn the ring so it's parallel to the long axis of the bumper so you can insert it into the slot in the bumper (the hole in the bumper) there is a slot for this purpose - i think) - once in the bumper, turn the ring sideways again, make sure it is tight in the bumper and ready to be installed on the pillar 3. the bellows itself is not intuitive depending on which side the bumper goes and which side goes down around the pillar Black ring/o-ring/tie is in the picture. I had nothing but bumper and bellows the more I want to downgrade it o to 2. Think this item is missing a lot for its price. Could do the same, make a bumper out of a modified hockey puck (2 of each) - and buy furs of each color (search here on Revain, a pair for about $10) separately for more style and less money and the same amount of work. And if you bought the bellows separately, it's a nicer material and looks like it will last longer than the material used for it. Bottom line, it does what it says on the tin, IF you get it. Actually 2.5 stars.
