Very happy with a good mounting kit

The purchase went without delay, very quickly. Installation was an easy task for my mechanic who had no complaints about the shape or fashion of the products. Excellent product and I recommend it especially for those on a budget.

Strut Mate Strut Boots

These things are complete junk, don't waste your money on them. I ordered the correct ones for my 2000 Maxima but they fit sloppy and both boot sets did not include the retaining clip and tie that came with the box. Even with my own zip ties, the hard plastic of the boot didn't fit into the rack body. Complete garbage.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Compatibility

Will not fit kits

Although Monroe's website lists this kit for a 1996 Nissan Maxima it will not fit. The bumper is too high. I had to use the old bumper. The bellows are cheap plastic and there is no zip tie as the description says. I would have sent it back but the old trunk was completely torn and the strut was already removed from the car.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Don't waste your money, it's garbage!

Let me start by saying that I never take the time to write reviews but the quality of these Monroe boots is so bad I had to! They don't fit the luggage racks I bought for the Nissan Sentra, the bottom of the trunk was too big to zip up (which didn't come as promised) and the bumper fits the luggage rack bar? Also, neither the box nor the trunk says "Monroe" anywhere; Not that I blame them, I wouldn't want to mess with that junk either! They come back as they are completely useless! Buyer…

REVIEW: Monroe Boot Set 63628 Strut-Mate

is used in combination with Monroe 71107 Shockson 2000 Infiniti G20 front wheels. That is hard. and I don't like tricks - at least without good instructions.1. I had to downsize the bumper. (had actually found that using a copy saw works quite well, a razor blade is impractical)2. I had to figure out how the steel ring that comes with the dampers mates with the bumper. - It was necessary to find a page up and a page down. (On my setup, only one side "shrinks" with the ring in the bumper. - Turn
