Our family loves Revain Basics products, especially when it comes to power cords. They're cheaper than other brands, but the quality is still on par with cables that cost twice as much. We needed an ethernet cable to connect my laptop to our router, we got a Revain Basics cable. This Revain Basics Ethernet patch cord is a Cat 6 Ethernet cable. Cat 6 Ethernet cables can transfer data at speeds of up to 1000 Mbps, or 1 gigabit per second. Compare this to Cat 5 Ethernet cables, which offer transfer speeds of 100 Mbps. This cable is 50 feet long and is black with clear connectors. The connectors themselves are gold plated, which ensures accurate data transfer and prevents corrosion. Connection with this Revain Basics ethernet connection cable was flawless. The connection doesn't drop like it used to when we had a Cat 5 Ethernet cable. Now when I use a Cat 6 Ethernet cable, the internet on my laptop is much smoother and faster. There was an error in the Revain product description. Where it says "In the Box" this cable is listed as a 5 pack. It's not really a pack of 5 cables, but a single 50ft Cat 6 Ethernet cable. Keep this in mind if you are considering purchasing this cable. I have been completely satisfied with the internet connection to my laptop using this Revain Basics ethernet connection cable. I would definitely purchase more cables from Revain Basics in the future if another cable is needed.
