I am a keen outdoor enthusiast so comfort is important. This saddle has two characteristics related to comfort. One of these is gel, where the ischial bones are in contact with the saddle. The other is a hole in the middle - on very long rides (ie 5-6 hours or more) a standard saddle compresses a blood vessel in the perineum, restricting blood flow, ultimately leading to numbness in the back. On the day I did those really long rides I experienced it sometimes, not fun but the feeling came back pretty soon after I got off the bike. The hole ensures adequate circulation so that no one goes deaf in it! For this reason I have used Terry saddles on my bikes for years and will continue to do so. If you want comfort I would highly recommend this saddle.
