If you are not intimidated by the simple and clear assembly instructions this product works exactly as described, this item works well. I say this because I'm always hit by negative reviews based on something that isn't a product defect. However, I cheated by using longer screws to mount this item to the wall due to the depth of the mount as well as the drywall and depth I wanted to insert into the rack. The attached photo shows 3 of the 4 sections included in the kit. I'll post the last section elsewhere. Yes, the base is lightweight plastic, but once attached it's very sturdy and will hold everything hassle free. Small hooks also work well for me and are not designed to hold anything too heavy. They are not installed "upside down" as another reviewer mentioned. The S hooks slide easily into the holder and hold all my items without slipping. Overall I am happy with this purchase and it worked as it should.
