I love Rada knives. Made in the USA and great value. This is my third and the quality is always top notch. Really great American product. They hold the blade just as well as any knife I've had. As the tomatoes start to win, I hit the knife with a rock and it comes back to life. I buy knives with aluminum handles which the company says are not as dishwasher safe. This is because aluminum tarnishes to a dull dark gray colour. The stainless steel blades are not damaged. I cook from scratch every day and wash these knives in the dishwasher every day. I like the texture of the grips better after they've faded and turned gray than when new - better grip. My dishwasher is a Bosch and usually melts the plastic glasses on the top shelf and I use natural citrus based soap - I'm not picky about anything in my kitchen. If you have doubts about buying aluminum cans because of the dishwasher, don't be. Aluminum has better cradle-to-cradle performance and feels better with age and tarnishing. Rada Knives makes me glad my ex caught Henckels in his divorce. They're not as heavy as an expensive German knife, but I like them better. I'm a locksmith, I buy German screwdrivers, tweezers, wrenches, etc. and I don't feel like having any knife other than Rada. Great American value.
