Simply amazing Chosera 3K stone on steroids

It behaves the same as Chosera 3K stone but leaves a mirror shine. Outperforms my Shapton 16K and 12K Shapton glass. The rock is very hard (cuts VG10 and D2 easily), squirts in and out and you can use the push-pull method with heavy pressure without worrying about digging into the rock. The edge of the blade actually improves with more pressure. A 1K, 3K, 8K leather and horsehide strap is all you need and it will last you a lifetime. The really amazing qualities of these stones are that they remove metal, have great feedback, polish but don't cut so fast that you can make a big mistake before you know it. You can use with or without suspension. Prime Whetstones cut as well (too well) and fast but polish poorly, even the 10K grit doesn't polish as well as this Naniwa 8K Hummer. I've spent about $1000 on Natural Arkansas (all), Cerax, Rika, and Prime stones with no regrets because I love crafting, but if you're on a tight budget and don't have resources, give 400 US dollars and you're done. Technique is very important, but you can go a long way without a good stone. I took a trip, it's fun but not for everyone. Much luck.

Pros
  • Sharpening stones
Cons
  • Slightly torn
