Polishes blade to a high shine

Hello, I'm just a hobby sharpener at home, although I craft my neighbors and co-workers' blades to keep handy. I have 3 other stones that I use for sharpening. My favorite brand is Chosera - 700, 1000, 3000. I finally have this 8000 grit Naniwa stone and it really makes a big difference. The stone seems very smooth but as you use it you can see the metal coming off (the gray metal floats above the stone in the water) so you know it's working. Great but be careful with hand tools

Great stone But prone to cracking I didn't even soak them, I just sprayed them with a spray gun. After 2 weeks, hairline cracks appeared all over the stone. Simply amazing Chosera 3K stone on steroids

It behaves the same as Chosera 3K stone but leaves a mirror shine. Outperforms my Shapton 16K and 12K Shapton glass. The rock is very hard (cuts VG10 and D2 easily), squirts in and out and you can use the push-pull method with heavy pressure without worrying about digging into the rock. The edge of the blade actually improves with more pressure. A 1K, 3K, 8K leather and horsehide strap is all you need and it will last you a lifetime. The really amazing qualities of these stones are that they…

  • Sharpening stones
