As a software developer for mobile devices and web applications, I always have problems manipulating peripherals because USB ports are not available on my laptop. This device is perfect! For mobile development in particular, I've found this to be a lifesaver due to the additional access to SD storage. Since I'm using a newer HP Specter as my primary travel and development laptop, I'm limited to just 1 USB-C port and 1 USB-3 port. This limits me to just one USB peripheral (usually my mouse) and I will always and always prefer an external keyboard so I can use multiple displays at home too. The speed and response of the product was not an issue and I also really like the extra power as I can now charge my phone at the same time without losing power/performance. I also really liked the design and the feel of the product. It has an aluminum body and looks well built, and I'm not worried about tossing it in my bag and storing it on the go. Overall this is a great product and I recommend it to anyone who needs to expand their peripherals!
