Not for a dirt bike.

I got this for my dirt bike to hold my phone which I use as a GPS. The mount just isn't designed for a dirt bike. On the first day of skiing he fell once on the cross-country ski run. On the same day he almost dropped out for the second time. I think it would be great for a street or dual sport bike, but not a dirt bike.
