I’m happy overall with this purchase. It checks all of the boxes I wanted; having a foldable wooden board and metal pieces. There are a couple things keeping it from being 5 stars though.First, the board doesn’t quite open all the way flush based on the hinge placement. This probably won’t matter to everyone, but it’s mildly frustrating as an anal retentive person.The second thing that keeps this from being a 5 star purchase is the fact that the clasp on one side juts out beyond the edge of the board (where the board is supposed to sit on the table). The parts that jut out are little nubs that help the clasp stay closed when the board is folded and I think the nubs are technically retractable, but when the board is open and sitting on the table it doesn’t have enough mass to force the nubs to retract. As a result, the board sits a little higher on one side than the other, causing a mild slant.If I had to guess, I think the second issue probably contributes to the other issue I mentioned (where the board doesn’t quite want to open all the way). Overall, these problems don’t affect my ability to use the board and to the casual observer, these problems would likely go unnoticed. The board and pieces feel high quality and the set is nice enough to leave out as a display piece as well as being a perfectly functional game set.
