In the end I like the thing. This works very well on my laminate floors. I had to spray some WD40 on the pivot to loosen it to keep the roller from lifting off the ground. When I've done that, it works great. One of the main issues I had was that what I received was clearly not new. It still had dirt inside from whoever last received it and sent it back because they were dissatisfied.
