Review on Tim Holtz 370 Paper Distresser: Efficient Tool for Tonic Studios Papercrafts by Kelly Caballes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Handy tool

Good for aging the edges of paper but not as good as folding/wetting/tearing the edges from the cutout. However, it does add some texture to smooth-cut edges. I found it easier to use heavier weight watercolor paper and card stock than regular printer paper. The small amount of distress this tool creates is enough to make the distressed ink (applied with a dab or smear) much darker than the rest of the page. The more you rub the edge with the squeegee, the rougher it becomes, allowing you to vary the strength of the effect. I have found that this works better

Pros
  • Handy tool for aging paper and cardboard to give an authentic aged paper look
Cons
  • Socket required
