Review on πŸ”ͺ MoraKniv Chisel Bundle Diamond Sharpener: Achieve Razor-Sharp Edges with Precision by Hayden Hart

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Durability 5/10, Value for money 10/10

The best thing about this bit (besides Mohr's usual excellent value for money) is that it has a plastic shell. You can carry this chisel on your tool belt and it won't cut anything it touches. I'm not that big of a fan of the long hem. It's not used very often, if at all, but it makes it difficult to use the tools as a regular chisel as the tool can't be held close to the end without cutting my hand. The pommel is actually quite strong, much to my surprise. . I put more power into it than I need and it still hasn't broken so it passed the test. It probably won't last forever, but let's face it; With this bit, you'll turn 3 screws on day one, so don't worry about the knob. I usually prefer high carbon steel for most cutting tools, but for this tool I think stainless steel might be the best option. The carbon steel version is fairly soft and is guaranteed to rust with normal use and storage. Rust doesn't really matter, except that a rusty edge is a dull edge and I don't necessarily want to spend 10 or 15 minutes on it. I fiddle with my chisel as I tug at it and find that its usefulness has diminished since I last used it. The softness of steel is a bigger problem than the problem of corrosion. If you touch even one nail with this chisel, it will make a dent. If you have a Tormek you can't go 100% wrong with sharpening because it takes 5 minutes, but other than that you can just buy a new one when you hit the mark.
