Update 2: Dyson fixed mine and sent it back to me. After cleaning with a newly overhauled machine, I took the broom onto the carpet and was able to sweep the accumulated hair into a big pile of dog fur. I expect more from such an expensive car. Currently all Dysons service numbers go unanswered, emails go unanswered and offices are closed - so no help here. Updated Review: I've been using it for a few months and am frustrated with it. Yes, he can climb the stairs from below and take care of the pet, but the inconvenience of fixing things is so great that I feel like it was a waste of money. It always gets stuck. I don't have anything dramatic that I'm removing - it's dust and hair, and that's what it should be good for. I had another Dyson from 2013 and upgraded to this due to the hardwood and tile switch when there is carpet on the stairs. Upon initial inspection I didn't think the cord would stretch for what I wanted - stairs and grooming. It stretched, allowing me to create a vacuum at the bottom of the stairs while I sucked at the top of the stairs. I love all attachments. I took my fans apart and they are all lint free and looking like new in no time. The sofa tool is amazing! Since it fell out, I've already repaid my investment by buying a grooming tool and vacuuming my pets. Very happy with my purchase.
