ok not great on Grip Repair Kits
It really doesn't help much for an old tape. On a newer, newer band, this works just fine. First, fresh tape can usually be removed by hand (at least that was the case when I first rewired my Ping G400 bats). This was helpful in several places. Second, the inner diameter of the tool's "cutting edge" is larger than the outer diameter of the shank - so better than a straight blade, but not by much. Finally, I appreciate the fact that this material doesn't damage my graphite rods.
