I bought a box of these pencils just over a year ago and they have all failed miserably. It seems that the marking material in each pen is broken. I barely have time to sharpen one let alone actual use before the marker falls off. I've waited until now, hoping it was just an accident with the first pencil or two; now that i have almost completely unpacked the box, it became clear that all the pencils are defective. I should have been suspicious when I saw that all the tips were melted at 90 degrees when they arrived in the box. regular pencil; Don't hesitate to order them.
