What a wonderful system. This is my first video system and I just couldn't get enough of it. It was very easy to install. I installed 4 cameras, connected the DVR, inserted the hard drive and that's it. I was worried that I wouldn't get a signal because I was in a metal building with two layers of steel between the cameras and the DVR. 2 cameras worked fine but 2 barely connected. xmartO technical support helped me via email. I bought 2 small WiFi antennas with 4 inch cable (TP-LINK TL-ANT2405C). I left the cameras outside and routed the cable to the antenna inside the store. Went from 1 bar to full bar signal. 2 cameras are about 75 feet through 2 walls with windows, 2 are outside a metal building with no openings at 50 and 120 feet respectively (these are the ones I added antennas to). The night vision of the cameras is excellent. I have one about 50 feet from a door and it closes very well. Only downside, I almost wish I had bought an 8 channel system just to add a few more cameras! Maybe I'll take a 4ch home and use it there and buy an 8ch for the store. It's easy to set up and view on our smartphones and the images look great. Unlike some of the other reviewers here, I paid for the system. $399.99 I find this system well worth it. The cameras are very well made and work as described. Just plug the cameras into a 120v outlet and they will work. All in all a great, easy to set up and use system.
