Get what you pay for!

First off, this is a good (not great) juicer. But for this price I haven't seen anything better. I've had 5 juicers, ranging from this $40 centrifugal juicer to a $400 masticatory juicer. All have advantages and disadvantages. Most centrifugal juicers give you cleaner juice (with less pulp), while masticatory juicers give you a much higher yield and drier pulp, but a lot of pulp ends up in your juice as well. But again for the most part. You get what you pay for. NOW about this particular juicer: Assembly/disassembly is standard for any spinner. The locking mechanism prevents the machine from turning on if not properly assembled. Cleaning. Cleaning is always an issue no matter what juicer you have, and anyone who tells you otherwise is either lying to you or selling you. So whoever says this product is terribly difficult to clean is right. This one is pretty standard. Dishwasher safe, but you'll need to pre-clean the mesh blade fairly thoroughly. The sprayer works well or a soft brush. Power - with a sharp blade (they last about 6 months with heavy use and are inexpensive to replace) it's enough to juice all soft fruits and veggies as well as harder things like broccoli stalks. , sweet potatoes, ginger, etc. Leafy greens aren't a problem, but I often get better results by adding something solid. Usually, if you're just throwing leafy greens on their own, they just get hit by the blades and most of it just spins. Add carrots at the same time as spinach for better results. Juice vs. Pulp – This juicer gives you fairly clean juice with minimal pulp content. The extracted pulp is a little wet, but I can live with that for a $40 juicer. She has some problems with very small wet fruits (black berries, grapes, pomegranates). Cons: My biggest issue with this juicer is the hopper. It's oddly curved and small, making it very difficult to get "bulk" juice (enough to make a gallon+ in a week). Many people enjoy drinking fresh juice every day because they feel they are getting more fresh nutrients. I envy the amount of free time you have in life when you can drink juice every day, but if you do, the feeding tube probably won't bother you. You only need to pre-cut a little so your fruit and veg is small enough to fit in the tube. Again, you don't get the MAXIMUM juice extraction, but it's still good unless you want dry pulp and plan on making veggie burgers out of it! cheep to get me over the next few months. It was a good find! I still have it and sometimes I use it when I want to cook something for dinner or make popsicles. I've had it for 2 years now and still haven't had to change the blade, but I don't use it often. It's small and I can put it on a shelf in the kitchen. Once again the juice is good and fairly pulp free. Try using it to make tomato juice in addition to pasta sauce! Add some garlic and some basil, cook and you're done!
