I just can't say enough good things about this excellent product. I love that it doesn't have bowls to obstruct flow or take up space - you can just fill it with filter material! I have the mechanical filtration that came with the kit below, followed by 3 sponges (regular/medium/fine) and the buffing pad that came with the kit. On top of that I still had room for 2 full liters of Seachem Matrix! While I won't have to clean it for several months with my 75 gallon tank, it will be very easy when I do because I have both mechanical and biological media in filter bags. And I don't have to wash the trays. I have great water flow (my rainbows and plants love it) and great surface puffiness. I have a built in UV, CO2 reactor and heater - despite all that the flow is still very strong. The device is virtually silent and built like a tank. Switched to this filter from the hob and what a difference! I was extremely cautious and even a bit paranoid about taking drastic action because I didn't want to end up with a piece of scrap metal and encounter leaks, breakdowns, etc. I am very satisfied - I can only recommend this product!
