Broken Microphone Blue/Logitech Support stinks

Was a 2019 Christmas present for playing and making Youtube videos. I was surprised to see that a $100+ mic still uses a mini USB Type B cable. If you don't remember, remember the original Blackberry charger style USB cable. The mic sounds great and is very durable, except for the USB connector. For three months, simply touching the cable caused the headphones to pop. A few months later, a smack on the wire or the mic turned on and off. It was still on for six months, but the computer didn't recognize it. 3 computers and 6 different cables and still not working. Contacted Blue/Logitech support over a month ago. Email for a few days to confirm I bought it. 3 weeks and no reply. I have no idea if they will replace the mic or not. Pros: The mic is solid and sturdy, sounds great. Cons: The USB port is 14 years old. Support takes forever even if you get an answer. Edit update: We got a response 9 weeks after support said we could replace the mic. I was surprised that we received a complete box that included everything and not just the mic. Raise the rating star.

Pros
  • FOUR SAMPLE MODES: Stereo mode is ideal for creating a realistic overall sound. cardioid mode. Good for podcasts, singing or game streaming. Cardioid mode picks up sound sources directly in front of the microphone. Omnidirectional mode picks up sound from all directions equally. This is best used at live events. Bidirectional mode records from both the front and back of the microphone. Great for tools or interviews
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
