old new product - filter
This filter and o-ring were obviously old. The o-ring appeared to be brittle and ruptured, resulting in a massive oil leak that squirted oil into the engine bay of my 2016 528xi. Bottom line, BMW charged $312 to replace a new O-ring, clean out the engine and chassis bay, and replace the oil-soaked belt. This item was clearly old and should not have been sold. Attention buyers!
