This sturdy belt loop case is strong and the clasp works well. I hope, however, that it will expand over time, because it took me a lot of strength to squeeze a standard-size Zippo bag several years old into this one, and all my strength to pull it out again. The sewn-on belt loop is off-center, and the inside of the button contacts the lighter and may scratch it. A little gorilla tape applied inside solves this problem, but then it becomes more difficult to insert the lighter. This test was conducted with the pouch removed from my belt; carrying would be much more difficult. I hope the bag expands over time; I stuck a lighter in it at an angle to try and break it. bottom line; The manufacturer should test the lighter to assess size. Update: August 28, 2021 After literally wearing this on my belt day and night, this little pouch hasn't grown a bit. It's still not possible to quickly insert or remove a standard-sized Zippo. So I gave up its intended use but it has found a new life as a carrier for two pairs of tightly rolled disposable vinyl gloves. In this task, this unobtrusive bag does a great job.
