Review on 🧵 Versatile Scrap Upholstery Leather Craft Pieces: 12 Sq Ft of Mixed Mediums by Carrie Spencer

I'm a bit torn on how to rate this item. The volume and quality was outstanding - I actually received 32 pieces, each piece is at least the size of the palm of a hand (most were larger) and the quality of the leather is excellent. HOWEVER, the details say some black, mostly earth tones, "a good choice". So I chose this lot over several others that cost about $10 less because they were described as "mostly black". Of the 32 pieces, 21 were black, 4 were very dark brown (almost black), 3 were deep maroon, 2 were burgundy, and I got one each in teal and gray. So I was very disappointed with the color choice. I'm sure I can think of a few projects to use black as it's a beautiful leather after all, but I don't have enough variety for the job I bought it for. I was commissioned to make 30 small jewelry pouches for earrings to give to the wedding party and although the bride originally wanted light colored leather, for price reasons she was willing to compromise by agreeing to black, some earth tones, some colours. I'll have to buy more leather to avoid a predominantly black selection, but I'm not sure if I should bid on this item a second time and hope for the best, or just sit and poke my nose at the reliability of the Kaufs is supposed to pay flowers from a fabric chain. Needless to say, I don't want to go back and change my offer, but I don't want to do the work for nothing either!
