I installed this on a 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis. There was a difference. More immediate throttle response and a little more growl with intake noise. The general build quality is good, but not as good as K&N. But even that wouldn't stop me from buying more filters from this company. For the price it's worth it. Unlike K&N filters which are oil lubricated and require a wipe down prior to installation, this filter was 100% perfect and ready to install. Absolutely no over-lubrication as with K&N filters. I noticed a slight increase in mileage. 1-1.5mpg more at best. But I often stop. So getting extra mpg is a very good thing. Hey, more than 20 miles from your tank if you just add an air filter.
