Review on ๐Ÿšฒ iBert Front Mount Baby Bicycle Seat: A Safe and Convenient Bike Child Carrier by Drew Poulin

Great but barely fits my bike.

When I got my new Day 6 bike I had to buy a new bike seat for my toddler because our old bike seat didn't fit in the seat post with backrest. The great thing about this bike seat is that compared to our old bike seat where my daughter was placed behind me and we were both at risk of checking her visually throughout the ride, now she is in front of me so I know every second that she is fine and enjoying our trip to the fullest. What I do NOT like about this seat is that it barely fits on my Day 6 bike. I would advise the manufacturer to develop a metal support specifically designed to accommodate the various angles and designs of the Day 6 bike rack and handlebar so much that the daughter is uncomfortable with the seat resting on her back. The shoulder straps keep falling off too. I followed the instructions in the owner's manual, but I keep having to put her back on her shoulders. The slits for the straps in the back are (in my opinion) too far apart - if they were placed closer together they would hold securely on the shoulders. I can imagine that a small child/toddler will have even more problems as their shoulders are even narrower than my daughters. The design of the footpegs limits my handlebar range, requiring me to make extremely wide turns or stop and physically lift/pivot the bike when deep turns aren't possible. On the plus side, it's extremely durable - we power through dips and small hills, making for a slightly bumpy ride. At first my daughter was nervous and grabbed the wheel, but now she realized it was safe and she wouldn't fall. She talks to me throughout the trip and loves that she can see everything without looking around. Overall I like this bike seat but for our particular bike some improvements/adjustments would be very welcome. As Day 6 bikes become more popular, there will (again in my opinion) be an even greater need for an additional/additional support bracket design.
