Review on ๐Ÿšด Garmin Vector 3S: Pedal-Based Power Meter for Accurate Performance Tracking by Wendell Chapman

Don't stay connected. But it is easy to install.

I've been using them for a few months now. For ease of installation I give them 10 points. Very easy to install. In conjunction with my Forerunner I would give it a 5. I couldn't pair them with my running shoe in the garage. I have a different power meter on my road bike so I figured I might have a glitch. Then I got on my bike and rode down the street. Drove about a mile and nothing. I turn to go home. They eventually mate about a block from home. For my first ride, I prime my Zwift and off we go. I'm spinning like crazy but my Zwift friend isn't going anywhere. Just stood next to the bike. 0 power measurement all the time. Spin for 30 minutes and nothing. Angry as a hornet, I shut down Zwift. When I look at my Forerunner, I notice that I'm getting performance metrics. On all my subsequent rides it turns off about 20 times within an hour of driving. It's not like I'm such a sophisticated athlete that I need constant monitoring, but the powertap on my road bike NEVER shuts off while riding. This is very frustrating, especially when you're doing reps in the mountains and want your friends to be impressed with your power on Strava. Any firmware updates for this would be appreciated.
