Entry-level power meter, easy to use

A bit heavy, more erratic data and less power than Stages on the same bike. (With an average performance of 3 seconds) Stages are much better, but they don't transfer to other bikes as easily.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Hard to say

Returned -- Constantly disconnected from Garmin 520.

I really hoped I would like them, but they basically don't work. I rode them yesterday and today and they only connect to my Garmin 520 about 1/3 of the time. Most of the time the power and cadence fields are just blank.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Training with power meters is very important and these pedals work.

I like performance data. My first set of pedals had a problem and Garmin customer service took care of it. I've read bad reviews about Garmin and its gear. I found a company that is constantly working to improve user experience. I'm glad I chose this path.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Useless features

Plug and play and long battery life

I have been riding internally geared Cyclops power meters for a few years and switched to these this summer. I'm a data and tech geek, but in my opinion, unless you're a pro, 3S is all you need (no 2-way power). I've looked at friends' Garmin files on both sites and that's just too much extra information you don't need for an extra charge. They paired easily with my Garmin 820. Battery status is uploaded to your Garmin Connect account, so you won't be surprised. I've been riding her since theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Not sure

Be careful when changing the battery.

Changed the batteries 4 times a year. Every time you change the battery, you run the risk of damaging the cheap internal threads inside the device. I would not recommend buying this product. You will strip the inside of this thread if you overtighten it a little or misalign it when screwing the cap on. If you search the internet you will find others having the same problem with their battery cover. Eventually the battery cover will fall on you as you cannot secure it. I wish I had never boughtโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Nothing

A little online reading - best performance on a bike

I'm a 4x 70.3 finisher, average working dad who trains about 10 hours a week. It's time to change the old 1st generation Ultegra out of intolerance to do outdoor workouts (Zwift is enough. After reading many reviews I was worried about the battery cover and the bad connection with the pedals. It's a leap of faith and about 2 months old now. Holy shit! So much data! Well I only have my iPhone 8 plus and my Garmin fenix 5x plus. When I got it - immediately annoyed that it wouldn't connect to myโ€ฆ

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Reliability

Don't stay connected. But it is easy to install.

I've been using them for a few months now. For ease of installation I give them 10 points. Very easy to install. In conjunction with my Forerunner I would give it a 5. I couldn't pair them with my running shoe in the garage. I have a different power meter on my road bike so I figured I might have a glitch. Then I got on my bike and rode down the street. Drove about a mile and nothing. I turn to go home. They eventually mate about a block from home. For my first ride, I prime my Zwift and off we

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Some problems
