Review on πŸ”ͺ Hanperal Shank Cutter: Efficient Concrete Cement Cutting Tool by Sean Sheppard

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good price, glad I bought two!

Of course I can't complain about the price of the bits. I accidentally bought two when I only needed one and I'm glad I did. I had to drill 6 holes in 10 inch poured concrete walls with this bit in a Milwaukee masonry drill bit. It took about 40 minutes to drill each hole. The screw held in the center guide cap is not doing its job. Expect it to loosen every minute or so and eventually break due to over tightening. I broke mine as well as a few spares (6mm metric thread). I also tried attaching them with an extra nut - that didn't work either. I ended up using a pilot drill to start the hole and then drilled most of the hole without it. The teeth broke on the first drill. When I started the third hole, the 1/2" threaded end of the shank broke completely and I switched to the #2 drill. Three holes later that drill lost 6 of the 8 teeth and I decided to go back to #1 drilling She for the last pass.Changing was almost impossible as the thread holding the cut was a mess but I managed to clean it out enough for the first cutter to fit on the second shank. The final haircut did well worked. To me, 4 stars is good value. If you need to use this more than once in a while, buy a better bit. But for me, $20 a piece was cheaper than hiring a good beat, and I didn't have to drive an hour round trip to an HD rental. If you buy this you absolutely get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Simple operation, easy handling and fast punching.
Cons
