Review on Midland AVPH2 Closed 🎧 Face Helmet Headset with GMRS Compatibility by Jerardo Phi

Pretty good accessories

I read all the other reviews before buying and was a bit worried about the quality. So far, so good. I use this device to talk between cyclists and my partner can hear me very well. He has an AutoCom and I'm using a Midland radio. All I really wanted was a helmet mic and a PPT button. I modified the device by cutting off half of the connector from the headphone and speaker jacks so I can use my own iEarz headphones that fit. I found a mono to stereo output adapter at Radio Shack for a few bucks and I'm fine with both ears. I only have two wires sticking out of the helmet: a microphone and headphones. This works for me. A problem with PPT. The button block along with the velcro around the handle is so large that I can't operate it with my thumb. Once installed it sticks out a good 3/8 inch and I had trouble reaching the coupler. So I installed it on the end of the handlebars and have to stretch it out to slide it, but that's fine. Haven't ridden in the rain yet so don't know about potential issues but plan to use them for cross country. Shore excursion this summer with my riding partner. I'm glad I bought the accessory. As usual, Revain was dispatched immediately and it arrived in two days.
