Used to prime the oil pump in a new design and increased the oil pressure to over 70 pounds with a cordless drill. Good to know your engine doesn't have to run dry the first time. The reason I know the pressure is because I have a whole set of gauges under the hood of my truck when I'm working on it or just checking things.
- These oil pump primers allow the oil pump to be rotated by the drill motor, pressurize the oil and move the oil to the top of the engine before starting the engine, preventing unnecessary wear or damage to rotating and valve train components.
