Works fine. Fits snug and snug on laptop. Pretty good overall and a lot cheaper than the official HP Caddy. I can't tell any difference in drive performance between the official one and this one. The *only* complaint I have is that the HP cases (for DVD and HD) have a screw hole on the back that locks the caddy in place. . It doesn't have this lock. I experienced a hard jolt that caused the cart to shake a bit but the laptop was off so it's not a big deal and I'm not worried about it as it has happened once on MANY trips. The big problem without that screw mount is that when sliding the cart in and out (e.g. to change a DVD) there is nothing to slide the cart out of the bay. I have to use a small screwdriver to poke and push it. The _bolt-in_ caboose is much easier to hook on and off because it has a piece of metal to press on. A very small detail, but when you change it as often as I do, official caddies are MUCH easier to change and fix. However, the price difference to an official caddy is not worth it.
