I love my thin and light 2015 MacBook Pro, but it doesn't have a DVD drive. This compact external drive is just perfect: small, light, no frills and very easy to use. Purchased DVD movies look great on my Mac's Retina display. I can watch my movies again! Edited to add: It's hard enough to remember where I left off AFTER I unplugged it to make dinner and plugged it back in an hour later. Unexpected Benefit: Now I can buy 3 old DVDs of horror movies that have been out of print for years and haven't appeared on any streaming service for years.
