Review on KC HiLiTES 73011 Mounting Bracket by Nathan Tsugawa

Bought these to display a set of vintage KC Daylighters. Yes they cost more than they possibly should but I have used KC products for decades, I love their Daylighters and in my opinion they are second to none. This is the first time I have bought these mounts and I have to say they are well designed and well made. I didn't want them to be plastic but after receiving and looking at them I have to admit my fears are gone. They appear to be very strong, perhaps as strong as steel clamps. I can say that they will not break easily. My main concern at the moment is the long term. It remains to be seen whether the ultraviolet sunlight will degrade and weaken the plastic over time. But so far I'm happy with them. They mount my headlights very tightly to the 1-7/8" top bar on my bumper (with grommets included). I drive a 1966 IH Scout and the old school Daylighters go together well and always serve my scout , and these mounts will be too, I will pay extra and take them again when I need more.
