I got these shoes for "walking shoes" for a trip to a European country. They were very comfortable for wearing on the plane and for walking around the city and some country roads. They are definitely more dressy than sneakers, but still flexible and feel good to wear. I might wear them for the low end of a blazer with casual pants, but that's borderline. They even turned out to be good for running nearly a mile in JFK to catch a plane, just seconds before losing my ticket to the last-call thing, so I call that a successful all-around travel shoe!
