This car fan mount is secure and won't move on long car rides. Technically there are 3 options with 2 clips to ensure a secure fit depending on the size and orientation of the air vent. The grip of the phone itself didn't let the phone slide at all. I took it off the fan and even shook it to test it, nothing moved. I have a bigger phone. I think plus the version with a cover and it's too much space. We've tried the largest Android and iPhone cases and had no problems. Just squeeze the sides together and the gears will hold everything in place. Press the button and they will pop out, freeing your phone.
