Review on Pirelli Scorpion Mountain Bike (MTB) by Wayne Burkett

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great all round tire

Have been riding Ralph's, Ron's and Nic's Schwalbe for years until I got tired of burping them on fun descents. I've ridden Maxxis Rekons and Forekasters for many years and they're good - very strong and reliable - but they don't handle very well and the rubber doesn't slide over wet roots and rocks. I did a long wet ride on them in XXC format and I really liked them - no burp and they handle wet roots well. If they last (and reviews from online magazines say they will), this will be my new favorite tire.

Pros
  • The Scorpion MTB Mixed Terrain range offers the right balance of aggressive and smooth riding to tackle any terrain of varying consistency.
Cons
  • Very Expensive
