Review on 🔒 Dorman 746-149 - Black Door Lock Actuator Motor for Compatible Models by Donny Collins

Close to OEM for my 1999 Ford F150 4x4 Supercab. Seems to be of good quality despite being made in China. Not as good as a Ford Genuine but works as advertised and is about half the retail price. Installation was agonizing, but it's the same design as Ford and it's not the manufacturer's fault. Fixed issues after installation where the electric door lock didn't work at all or worked sluggishly. Ford's final check to the OEM for this part was $49 retail plus shipping and local taxes. So with this part I was able to replace the actuators in both doors for about the same price as a part from Ford. Hopefully they will last a few years but we all know that with Chinese made items this is often a fantasy. ***** UPDATE 10/23/2016 (failed 3 months ago, not replaced yet) This worked great for about 6 months. Now it just hums in the left door and doesn't close or open anymore. Typical Chinese stuff, I almost thought it would last longer than 6 months. FORD OEM is worth the extra cost, especially since changing is a pain every time.
