Direct replacement for my 2013 Vitamix VM0103. I bought this switch to fix a variable speed controller that was randomly accelerating a motor without the switch. The #15955 derailleur I received turns a bit harder than the original, but this doesn't affect performance. After I replaced it, the acceleration is smooth and controlled by the speed controller. Make sure you align the tab on the potentiometer correctly so the scale actually starts at 0. It took about 5 minutes to replace the switch. Due to the age of my blender I'm not worried about warranty issues and it was a much cheaper option than sending it in for repairs if you want to do it yourself. Replacing the switch requires only a Phillips screwdriver, needle nose pliers, and wire cutters (sever existing zip ties). This potentiometer "can" solve your speed controller problems and is worth trying for replacement or returning to the manufacturer if the warranty has expired.
