Review on Dremel 654 Straight Routing Bit: Precision Cutting Tool for Woodworking and DIY Projects by Ralph Banks

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Worked great as an alternative to a door router

I needed to cut hinges and a through lock on an empty door I was installing. I don't have a trimmer so I used this little Dremel attachment in my drywall router. It worked great and gave me a professional result. Just walk slowly so you don't overheat and turn blue. If I had to make a dozen doors I would choose something more efficient, but this solution worked for one. Incidentally, I didn't use my Dremel tool on this chisel because its base obscures the view of the chisel; the drywall router was much better.

Pros
  • Straight bits, twist drills and taps
Cons
  • So far so good
