Review on πŸ’§ SOMDARHK T Adapter with Shut-off Valve: A Versatile Bidet Solution with Chrome Finish by Nicholas Reggae

Doesn't match the price.

I bought this T-adapter and used it to install a bidet I bought here at Revain. It was recommended as a "frequently bought together" item. After installing the tee, bidet and plumbing etc, I turned on the water source and water began to spray and flow under the tee into the toilet. I immediately shut off the water and checked that all connections were tight. I turned the water on a second time and same thing again. Turn off the water (again), then remove the tee fitting from the toilet, wrap teflon tape around the threads, reconnect the adapter, tighten securely and turn on the water supply, and guess what happened? Water splashed and flowed out of the connector again. I removed the tee from the toilet again, this time inspecting the rubber washer inside the body and noting that the washer was flat. So I removed the flat washer and replaced it with the washer that was in the other T-adapter that came standard with the bidet parts. (Note: This washer was slightly thicker and raised on one side). After pumping I reconnected this T-adapter to the toilet and twisted it. Then they turned on the water supply and you know what? Finally no leaks! The flat washer in this product is not enough to prevent water leakage. I would advise the manufacturer to use a washer that actually seals the T-adapter's connection to the toilet. Come to think of it, I paid $14 for this inadequate add-on that didn't work properly without modifications.
