Came as pictured. It goes with everything pink in my office. This heater has a certain weight so that the plate begins to heat up. The manual says nothing about weight requirements. I checked several cups (with and without liquid) and candles and the plate didn't get hot. It kept blinking blue light. As soon as I put my hand on the platter and applied some pressure, the blue light stopped flashing and I felt the platter warm up. I sent the warmer back for something better.
