I bought this after looking for transparent plastic because hotels have to close the curtains in the room. My previous house had shutters, so I didn't have curtains in this new house. I bought pocket heads and the pocket is quite narrow. I'm pretty sure a transparent rod attached to a curtain won't work. It's a pretty tight fit. This tool works pretty well. It would be even better if I bought an even narrower pole. I have to find him. But it's a lot better than trying to draw my curtains shut by hand. There's a tiny learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, it works like a champ. Otherwise my curtains would be closed 24/7!
